Verbal Sentence (الجُمْلَةُ الفِعْلِيَّةُ)

In Arabic, there are two types of sentences

1. Nominal (الجملة الاسمية)
2. Verbal (الجُمْلَةُ الفِعْلِيّةُ)

A verbal sentence (الجملة الفعلية) can be used to narrate events tied to time

💡 Structure of a verbal sentence (الجُمْلَةُ الفِعْلِيّة)

1. Action (الفِعْلُ)
2. Doer (الفَاعِل)
3. Direct object (المَفْعُولُ بِه)

Note: A direct object (المفعول به) is not always necessary in a sentence

📚 Examples

فَهِمَ الطّالِبُ القاعِدَةَ The student understood the rule

فَهِمْــتُ الدَّرْسَ I understood the lesson
