Let's consider another حُرُوفُ الجَرّ, the particle ل, which has many meanings, the most popular of which is "possession of something."

لَـــكَ"to you", "for you", "yours"
لِـــي "To me" or "my"
Translate:
She has a big book
لَــكَ كِـتَابٌ كَبِيرٌ
