ذَهَبَ أَحْمَــدُ وَمُـحَمَّــدٌ إِلَى الـمَدْرَسَةِ Aḥmad and Muḥammad went to school

اشْتَرَيْتُ كِـتَابًا وَدَفْتَــرًا I bought a book and a notebook

جَاءَ الرَّجُــلُ ثُمَّ اِبْــنُــهُ The man came, then his son

شَرِبْتُ الشَّايَ ثُمَّ الْـمَاءَ I drank the tea, then the water

القرآنُ حُـجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ The Quran will stand as divine evidence—either in your favor (if you live by it), or against you (if you neglect it)

سَيَأْكُلُ زَيْدٌ التُّفَاحَ أَوْ الـمَوْزَ Zayd will eat the apple or the banana

بالأمسِ دَرَسْنَا معه الفِقْــهَ حتى تَأْرِيــخَــهُ Yesterday we studied fiqh with him - even to its history

أَ قَرَأْتَ الْقِصَّــةَ أَمَّ الْقَصِيدَةَ؟ ?Did you read the story or the poem

يَـنْتَصِرُ القَوِيُّ لا الضَّعِيــفُ The strong one prevails, not the weak

لا تَشْرَبْ مَاءً عَكــرًا لَكِنْ صَافِــيًا Drink not murky water, but pure [water]
