Which pronoun is appropriate?
هَذِهِ سَيَارَاتٌ orهَؤُلَاءِ سَيَارَاتٌ
If you are unsure about the choice, please reiterate the topic: plural of inanimate nouns
it's correct to say هَذِهِ سَيَارَاتٌ instead of هَؤُلُاءِ سَيَارَاتٌ
Consider these sentences:
الأَوْرَاقُ سَقَطُوا سَقَطَتْ مِن الشَّجَرَةِ The leaves fell from the tree
الفَوَاكِهُ يَـنْضَجُونَ تَـنْضَجُ في الصَّيْفِ The fruits ripen in summer
Interestingly, although the subjects "leaves" and "fruits" are plural (inanimate), the verbs are in the singular feminine form. This is a common feature in Arabic grammar when referring to plural inanimate nouns.
