In this practical material, we will practice a common Arabic phrase: "What is that?" (ما ذَلِكَ؟). Here's an example: "ما ذَلِكَ؟" - "ذلك قطٌ" - "That is a cat."
In order to ask in Arabic "who?" we use the word "من", for example: "مَنْ هذا الرَّجُلُ؟" (Who is this man?). Another example: "مَنْ أَنْت"
Practice of the Idafah (الإضَافة) construction composed together with the previously learned questions, such as أين (Where), من (Who), and ما (What)
We continue practicing Arabic verbs, and in this lesson, we will analyze verbs with questions, for example: "إلى أَيْنَ ذَهَبْتَ؟" - Where did you go?
A very common Arabic phrase is "ما هذا؟" (pronounced ma hadha?), which translates to "What is this?". For example: Question: ما هذا؟ Answer: هذا قلمٌ (This is a pen)
How to ask in arabic: "Where?" (أَيْـنَ؟). We not use to be in arabic for saying "where", for example: "أين المدرس" (where is the teacher). Note that we use definiteness
How to ask: "whose?" (لِمَنْ). For example: "لِمَنْ هَذِه الأَقْلَامُ؟" (Who owns these pens?). The correct answer is to use حرف الجر ل
Practice constructing a simple sentence with the question: "where?", for example: "Where is my toy?" (أَيْنَ أَيْنَ لُـعْبَتِي..؟)
Practice constructing questions with past tense verbs (الفِعْلُ المَاضِي). For example ماذا سمعت (What did you hear?).
